Cooper
Hey everyone, Cooper here! Been a while since I made a new update what with me recently getting a new job that occupies me a good chunk of every week but I finally found time today to bring this month's update!

Rising from their graves along with me are sounds from the likes of Fire Emblem, Ninjala, Atlantis The Lost Empire, Heretic, Spongebob, and much more!

Also here today is a new policy on "Everything" submissions courtesy of Petie. Please take note!

"From here out, "everything" (and similar) submissions will no longer be accepted. Please split up, organize, and name your submissions appropriately. I understand that in some cases, it will make individual submissions very small but the benefit to site organization, usability, and searching far outweigh the occasional small submission. Thanks!"

As always, we appreciate your patience! Have a Happy Halloween and we'll see you next month!

@DJslim: Yeah, unless otherwise stated (which is rare), everything on The Sounds Resource is free to be used for personal projects. The thing you shouldn't do is to use those sounds for a retail product (e.g. a game to be released on Steam), using them for modding purposes should be fine.

Hi, is it possible for me to use these voice files for mods? I've asked around and no one seems to say anything about it. I'm assuming I don't have to ask permission because they are using assets from the game company, not making them from scratch or recreating them. But I still need to credit who I got it from like "Talking Bush". Nexus mods is very strict about getting verbal permission, crediting without asking is not enough. So that's why I'm asking.

@Mysticus It's not tough if you take your time, and sort them. I recommend only ripping games that you are familiar with from now on, because we won't take Everything/"Sound Effects" submissions from here on out. Thanks!

This is gonna be though for everyone (including me) who want to extract sounds from Ps1, Ps2 and NDS games.

Preferably not as there should be a better way to name those as well (e.g. level sounds, character sounds, etc.).

Are sounds with the name "Sound Effects" no longer going to be accepted as well?
